Listen to Series Introduction

Welcome, and I am excited you chose the Psalms of Our Lives series. I am Dr. Dave.

Whether you follow ‘The Way,’ known as Christianity, or not, you’ve likely encountered passages from the book of Psalms.  The most popular Psalm, the 23rd, ‘The Lord is my Shepherd; I Shall Not Want,’ Speaks to God’s provision in all areas of life. The Psalms, essentially Songs of Praise, share about God’s love, grace, and goodness as experienced and witnessed by the authors.  The God of yesterday is the God of today and tomorrow, the Alpha and Omega, and is always faithful.

Consider this: What are the Psalms of your life?  How are you capturing and sharing God’s love, grace, and goodness in your experiences? Sharing your testimony, the story that says, ‘I’ve seen it with my own life,’ is a powerful practice for spiritual growth. You don’t need to be a poet or a book author to share your experiences. Think of writing your Psalm as telling a story and passing on a cherished experience to your friends, family, and community. Your unique perspective is a valuable part of the collective spiritual journey.  I encourage you to write them in your journal or mobile device and post them on social media when comfortable.

In this five-episode series, I will share my stories and songs of the Psalms of my life.  The five Psalms include:

  1. Such A Joy
  2. Trust In The Lord
  3. Won’t Walk In Circles
  4. I’m Not Alone
  5. Walking In The Garden

I share these few Psalms from my life with the hope that they will inspire and guide you as you navigate your spiritual and physical journey in this world.

Be blessed, beloved.
